This is a week long Adult Summer Intensive in the evenings based on learning group choreography. One teacher will be choreographing a Neoclassical Ballet group dance and the other teacher will choreograph a Contemporary group dance. All dancers that are signed up will be in both the ballet and the contemporary pieces. There is also the option of performing a variation from Raymonda, which will be run at the end of adult ballet classes Tuesday and Thursday. as well as a contemporary solo. This year there will ALSO be an option to learn and perform a contemporary solo for those who want an extra challenge!
What to expect There will be a quick warm up which will follow straight into choreography to prepare for the performance. Dancers are expected to review choreography everyday and to be prepared to learn more choreography every session. On Friday August 14, dancers will perform the created works in Kirk Hall with stage lights, an audience and receive professional filming of the performance to have as a keepsake! It’s important for dancers to partake in all 5 sessions in order to do the performance.
