Kathryn Luttin
Born and raised in Victoria, BC, Kathryn began her training at the Pacific Dance Centre, moving to the National Ballet School in Toronto at the age of 18. She then danced with the National Ballet of Canada as an apprentice, performing in classic ballets such as Swan Lake, Giselle, and Les Sylphides. She left professional dance at the age of 20 due to injuries and turned to university where she gained a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy. After moving to Salt Spring Island and spending many years away from dance, Kathryn began training again as well as teaching. She taught ballet at the Gulf Islands School of Performing Arts and the Rainwood Dance Studio, as well as offering community ballet classes for seniors. Kathryn moved back to Victoria in the fall of 2023 and is excited to join the Victoria dance community and share her passion for teaching with Ballet Victoria Conservatory.
