Dana grew up in Calgary, Alberta training and competing in ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary and tap. Dana went on to study ballet at the International School of Ballet, performing and touring with Jeunesse Classique Ballet. Her summers were spent training at the Okanagan Summer Dance Intensive. In 2017 Dana joined Ballet Victoria and is currently looking forward to her fourth season with the company.
Growing up Dana trained under the Royal Academy of Dance completing her RAD Advanced 1 and 2 exams with Distinction. Since joining Ballet Victoria, she has fallen in love with the technique and artistry of the Vaganova Method.
Dana’s inspiration to teach began in her teen years when she participated in a student teaching program at her studio. Having previously acted as an assistant and substitute teacher for various BVC classes Dana is very excited to officially join the BVC faculty full time this year. She hopes to inspire her students with her own love of dance.
