Ayva grew up in Victoria B.C where she trained and developed her love for ballet. During her youth, Ayva attended various professional summer programs such as Royal Winnipeg Ballet school, Alberta Ballet school, Banff Performing arts centre, and Ballet Jorgen’s summer intensives.

Ayva started her pre-professional journey in Toronto at George Brown college which led to a 10 year professional career as a dancer for Canada’s Ballet Jorgen. While touring and performing with Canada’s ballet Jorgen Ayva had opportunities to teach youth across Canada and in the USA. Being able to connect with aspiring young dancers throughout her dancing career created another layer of appreciation and passion for the art form. Ayva is a mother of two young children and is passionate about nurturing children’s creative spirits in her teachings. Ayva is looking forward to teaching and sharing her love of classical ballet at BVC!
